Yogyakarta, 22 July 2025 - Faculty of Economics Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa (FE UST) received a comparative study visit from Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Pelita Bangsa (FEB UPB), Bekasi. This activity is a place to share experiences in strengthening academic governance, achieving superior accreditation, and institutional development strategies at the faculty and study programme levels.
The FEB UPB delegation was led by the Dean of FEB UPB, who conveyed the purpose of the visit to gain insight related to the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) based curriculum, the strategy for achieving tridarma outcomes, and the quality assurance system that has been implemented by FE UST. In his remarks, Vice Rector III of UST welcomed the arrival of the group and conveyed the UST institutional profile in general.

The Dean of FE UST, Dr Sutrisna Wibawa, M.Pd., emphasised that achieving excellent accreditation is inseparable from strengthening human resources, preparing an adaptive curriculum, and institutional support for international mobility of lecturers and students. FE UST also shared experiences on strategies to improve the quality of student scientific publications.
The discussion was interactive with the participation of the heads of study from both faculties, discussing the technical implementation of field assessments, the governance of accreditation documents, and strategies for implementing the OBE curriculum. FEB UPB also highlighted how internal campus management can run efficiently despite the large number of students.

As part of strengthening institutional networks, FE UST also conveyed information about annual international activities that are routinely held, such as International Management Week and International Accounting Days which usually take place in November. Moments like this are potential spaces to expand collaboration across universities and share good practices in academic management.
The activity was closed with the handover of mementos from both parties as a symbol of friendship and future collaboration. (Contributor: Kurniawan).
